Breakfast Bars

Heat a pan or wok on a low heat, and toast the oats, quinoa and millet. This should take about three minutes

170g cups rolled oats 65g uncooked quinoa 20g millet 190g chopped mixed nuts and chia seeds 85g cup dried fruit, cranberries are great! pinch of salt 170g cup maple syrup 170 cup peanut butter 60ml cup oil 30g tbsp agave syrup 5g vanilla extract
Heat oven to 180 degrees. Line a 30cm square baking tray with parchment. Heat a pan or wok on a low heat, and toast the oats, quinoa and millet.  This should take about three minutes, they\'ll start to smell good. Mix in a large bowl, with the nuts, dried fruits and the salt. in a small pan, melt the maple, peanut butter, oil, sugar and vanilla together. then add to the dry mix, stir through so everything is combined and gooey. Pour into the baking tray, press down with a spoon to make a good filling,  and bake in the oven for 25 mins or so, until everything looks toasted. Take out of oven, cool at room temperature and then chill. Cut when nice and cold, you now have healthy, hearty and homemade power bars to eat whenever you like!
